Comments and Other Information

American River Charter School's Independent Study program is growing. We are looking for a special individual to serve as a Supervising Teacher who is familiar with the home school environment. Preferably, they would qualify as a "Highly Qualified Teacher" able to serve high school students but also qualified to provide oversight to K-8 students. Understanding the role of support in the relationship between home and school would be essential as parents are the primary educators who work underneath the guidance of their ST. Supervising teachers would need to see themselves as a part of our community, traveling to meet with families in their homes and on campus. Hours are flexible and designed to meet the needs of families. This position is a 1.0 FTE depending on enrollment.
