About the Position:
The Desert Sands Unified School District Facilities Services Department oversees all aspects of the District’s capital improvement projects. Measure KK was a $275 Million General Obligation Bond (GO Bond) passed in 2014, and Measure A is a $675 Million Go Bond passed in March of 2024. There are currently 17 major modernization and construction projects prioritized for construction as part of the Measure A Bond Program. These projects will be grouped and constructed in phases over the next 12-15 years. Facilities Project Managers are needed to lead project teams of consultants and contractors for Measure KK, Measure A, and other Capital projects as they are developed.
Education and Training Required:
Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Business Administration, Public Administration, Planning or related field and two (2) years of experience in construction and/or renovation which included one (1) year of managing consultants; OR, six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in construction and/or renovation which included one (1) year of managing consultants.
Licenses, Certifications and Testing Required:
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid California Drivers License.
