Requirements / Qualifications

Job Overview We are hiring part-time, temporary ELPAC Testers/Scorers to support summer testing. In this role, you'll primarily administer the state-required English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) to students in Kindergarten and 1st Grade. Some testers may also work with students in Grades 2–12. This position runs from late June through the end of July, but may end earlier depending on the number of students needing to be tested. All work is contingent on student availability. Candidates must be available for all training and calibration sessions held in late June. Responsibilities Administer and score the computer-based ELPAC assessment Contact parents to schedule their student to take the ELPAC assessment Work with English learner students in grades K–12 Follow testing protocols and ensure accurate data entry Qualifications Fluent English speaker with excellent pronunciation, intonation, and fluency. Completion of ELPAC calibration training (provided upon being hired for the position). Able to communicate effectively with students ages 5 through 18 who are learning English Strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Comfortable using a computer and spreadsheets; accurate typing and data entry required. Must provide your own transportation Available to work up to 5 hours per day, 5 days a week (excluding holidays and system downtimes)
