Salary Schedule 01, Range 19, $114,141.34 - $145,683.07 annually. This position is exempt from overtime. Annual stipend pay: Master's $750 or Doctorate $1,250 (Salary and Stipend prorated upon hire).
Length of Work Year
7.5 hours per day/Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm/12 months/214 days annually (Prorated upon hire)

Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Senior Director-Special Education, the Principal-Special Education serves as the administrator and educational leader of the assigned programs at multiple settings across Butte County. The Principal is responsible for ensuring high levels of learning for all students by overseeing programs at the school sites and coordinating with district administrators and Butte County Office of Education (BCOE) managers and team leaders. The Principal guides collaborative teams to support the needs of students in a manner that is consistent with the BCOE and department mission. The Principal has a commitment to collective inquiry and reflection on results of student achievement to improve student learning. The Principal supervises the special education staff in BCOE special education programs and oversees the program management.
