DESCRIPTION OF BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: The elementary principal is the chief executive and educational leader of the school. They are responsible for the direction of the instructional program, operation of the school plan, and related staff and student activities. The principal operates within the framework of the State Department of Education, Education Code and the policies of the local school board.
