Job Summary
The High School Spanish Teacher reports directly to the Principal. The Spanish Teacher will collaborate with the instructional team and school leadership to deliver a high-quality Spanish language program that fosters linguistic proficiency.
Requirements / Qualifications
Responsibilities: •Develop and implement engaging Spanish language instruction aligned with California World Language Standards and school goals. •Foster a supportive and immersive language learning environment that encourages speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish. •Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners •Assess and track student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback. •Maintain a well-managed online classroom that supports academic focus and respectful communication. •Collaborate with colleagues to align language instruction with interdisciplinary and school-wide initiatives. •Incorporate technology and multimedia tools to enhance language acquisition and engagement. •Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities. •Promote a positive school climate and uphold the school’s mission and values. •Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•California residency required
•Current California Credentialing in appropriate content area
•Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
•Preferred at least two years’ experience teaching
•High quality written and verbal communication skills
•High digital proficiency in Microsoft applications, Google Workspace, and Work OS platforms
•Ability to work well under pressure
•Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines consistently
•Understanding of and ability to manage confidential information
•Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
•Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred
•Ability to work with a diverse and distributed student body and peer group
•Experience in coaching teachers to improve their instructional planning, instructional practice, and classroom culture
•Excellent results in increasing student achievement academically and social-emotionally
•A passion for teaching and genuine care for children
•High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
