Job Summary
Seeking an enthusiastic and energetic replacement in a two-teacher agriculture department. Courses to be taught could include Agriculture Mechanics 1, 2, Agriculture Wood Working. 1, 2, and Farm to Table. If qualified, courses could also include; Agriculture Science courses. The position is 11th month and includes an FFA stipend. VCHS has an on-campus school farm with beef, sheep, goats, rabbit, and chicken facilities as well 1 greenhouse , 1 shade house and growing grounds. In addition, the instructor will be involved in FFA student leadership development, SAE project supervision, and CDE coaching.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must possess or be eligible for a California Single Subject Credential: Agriculture or CTE Credential in Agriculture and Natural Resources.

The district has discretion to award additional years of experience credit beyond 7 for more experienced teachers. (2) Teachers with a credential that is based on a bachelors degree will start in Range I through V depending on the number of units they have passed the issuance of their Bachelor's degree. Teacher hired without a bachelor's degree will be paid the hourly professional service rate of $48 per hour (CTE Credential is based on work experience and does not require a bachelor's degree). (3) District approved Master & Doctoral degrees will receive a $2,318.00 stipend annually. (4) This position is on an 11 month calendar - 202 Contract Days.
