Job Summary

Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Administrative Assistant performs highly responsible duties that are confidential, technical, complex and varied in nature providing overall support to the Human Resources office and the District acting as a liaison to employees, students, parents, and the community. This role involves providing assistance with district clerical needs, following up on performance evaluations and processes, and ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws, benefits, disability law, labor and employment law, sexual harassment policies, and other related District policies and procedures. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service, which includes addressing a wide range of issues and maintaining employee files, databases, and records of personnel actions. This position also promotes ongoing knowledge of current regulations while fostering positive staff relations.

Requirements / Qualifications

Valid California driver’s license and auto insurance. Education and Experience: Possess a High School diploma plus two years of working in a K12 office environment and/or business/computer courses obtained through a college or vocational school or possess a college degree in a related subject from an accredited college/university. Experience of a closely related nature may be substituted for coursework or a degree. Proficient in computer word processing and spreadsheets. Three years of varied and progressively responsible clerical experience.
