White Learning Center serves our students in grades TK-2. ** Castle Rock Elementary School serves our students in grades 3-5. ** Woodlake Valley Middle School serves our students in grades 6-8. ** Woodlake High School serves grades 9-12 students, and the Three Rivers and Seville students join the district. ** Bravo Lake also serves students in grades 9-12 who need an alternative setting. ** Woodlake Community Day School serves students in grades 7-12.

Job Summary

F.J. White Learning Center: Grades TK-2 Under the direction of certificated personnel (under the direct supervision of the site Administrator), the Special Education Aide has the responsibility of providing support to special education services. The Special Education Aide is distinguished from other instructional aides in that they are required to perform duties that are necessary and appropriate to ensure that special education students receive services outlined on their Individual Education Plan (I.E.P.) in accordance with federal law. Services include physical, emotional and mental support to special education students as needed.

Requirements / Qualifications

•High School Diploma or equivalent; •Knowledge and ability to understand the use of proper English, punctuation, spelling, grammar, basic math, general science and social science with specific subject content; •Effective computer, communication, and organizational skills; •Must maintain a high standard or professional appearance and serve as a role model.

  • Copy of Transcript (Associates degree or higher at least 48 college unity or passing score on the TCOE Instructional Aide Assessment Test)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (requires three letters of recommendation)
  • Proof of HS Graduation
  • Resume
