We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Elective Teacher to join our team at GPS. This role offers the opportunity to teach one or more of the following subjects: Art, Music, Computer Science, Drama/Theater, and/or Foreign Language. As an Elective Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering creativity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness among our students. You will design and implement engaging, project-based lessons that align with our mission to develop the whole child and prepare them for a rapidly changing world. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver innovative, student-centered lessons in one or more elective subjects, incorporating project-based learning and real-world applications. Foster a classroom environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. Integrate social-emotional learning practices to support students' personal growth and development. Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary projects and enrich the overall curriculum. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends. Engage with families and the community to support students' learning and development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid California Teaching Credential Required. Experience teaching one or more of the elective subjects (Art, Music, Computer Science, Drama/Theater, Foreign Language). Strong understanding of project-based learning and its application in the classroom. Commitment to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and equitable learning environment. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Fluency in multiple languages is a plus (not required). Why GPS? Requirements / Qualifications

Applicants must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree and a valid California teaching credential. (A Master's Degree in Education is preferred but not required.)
