Chippingford School, a cooperative microschool in Los Angeles, is seeking a full-time Private Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a values-based, community-rooted school dedicated to nurturing each child's academic and personal growth. This role is ideal for an experienced, passionate educator who thrives in collaborative, mission-driven environments. The teacher will work closely with a team of five educators, teaching K–4 students in both Language Arts and Math, with a focus on individualized instruction, mastery-based learning, and socio-emotional development.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Design and deliver instruction aligned with Chippingford’s mission, values, and holistic learning model
- Create Individualized Learning Plans for students
- Support foundational literacy development, including phonics instruction
- Facilitate project-based, hands-on, and experiential learning
- Collaborate with families and contribute to a deeply connected school culture
- Participate in the co-creation and evolution of school programs and curriculum
Program Features:

- Integrated instruction rooted in faith-informed values and open inquiry
- Strong family engagement and cultural learning
Credential Requirements:
- California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential preferred
- At least 5 years of classroom experience in K–4, including Language Arts and Math
- Experience with foundational literacy instruction (including phonics)
- Openness to working in a values-oriented, community-centered educational setting
- Teaching credential or educational coursework required
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience in multi-age or mixed-grade classrooms
- Training in Montessori, Project-Based Learning, or progressive pedagogy
- Bilingual in Spanish or other languages
- Curriculum development or microschool/start-up experience
- Additional skills in areas such as arts, athletics, or music
- Comfort integrating faith-based perspectives
