LOCATION: Paramount High School DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Instruction of high school students with a goal of entry level employment, in the field of health care, or as preparation for advanced training in the health care field at the community college level. Manage classroom in such a manner as to ensure an environment conducive to learning. Provide engaging hands-on lessons related to current skills and knowledge in the health care profession. Plan, create, and follow course outline activities and lessons. Maintain and submit attendance and student records within specific timelines. Act as a role model for students. Maintain positive public relations with all entities. Provide supervision and safety of students. Develop and maintain internship sites and business partnerships. QUALIFICATIONS: Current California Registered Nurse/LVN; with a minimum of three (3) years full-time verifiable experience in the acute care setting. Possession of, or meet qualifications required to obtain a Designated Subjects Career Technical Education teaching credential in the field of Health Science and Medical Technology.

Current California Registered Nurse/LVN; with a minimum of three (3) years full-time verifiable experience in the acute care setting. Possession of, or meet qualifications required to obtain a Designated Subjects Career Technical Education teaching credential in the field of Health Science and Medical Technology. Must have valid authorization to teach English learners in the state of California or enroll in a program for completion of the certificate.
