This role will be responsible for ensuring that PLN leverages data effectively to drive decision-making, measure organizational impact, and support fundraising efforts through the use of data. The Director will oversee PLN’s data infrastructure and centralized reporting system while leading a high-performing data team to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and alignment with the organization’s mission. Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and funder, translating complex data into high-level insights that inform decision-making. Oversee the development of a centralized data reporting and visualization framework that increases data accessibility across departments and stakeholder groups. Leverage tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Python, or R to deliver meaningful, actionable insights to program teams and executive leadership. Identify and integrate key performance indicators (KPIs) into ongoing decision-making across departments to strengthen program outcomes and organizational effectiveness. Foster cross-functional collaboration to embed data-informed practices across departments—supporting service delivery, funding strategies, and continuous improvement. Ensure data governance, quality assurance, and compliance with regulatory and funder requirements. Represent PLN with external research partners, funders, and government agencies to enhance advocacy efforts and strategic partnerships. Promote a culture of data literacy by training and empowering staff at all levels to interpret and apply data in their work.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including funders and board members. Familiarity with nonprofit grant reporting, compliance requirements, and program evaluation metrics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; multilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply. Travel Requirements: Up to 25% (within Los Angeles County and more likely between PLN sites).
