Job Summary
The Behavior Specialist will provide comprehensive behavioral support to students, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), within the school setting. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior intervention plans, collaborating with staff and families, and providing training and support to promote positive behavior and academic success. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and have proven experience working with adolescent students with behavioral challenges, including those with ASD.
Requirements / Qualifications
Master's degree in special education, behavior analysis, or a related field preferred. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with adolescent students with behavioral challenges, including those with ASD. Strong understanding of ABA principles and practices. Experience conducting FBAs and developing BIPs. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Knowledge of special education laws and regulations. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
