Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and student-centered leader to serve as Principal of C.L. Smith Elementary School. This school site proudly serves a diverse and dynamic student population and is home to one of the district’s largest English Learner (EL) programs as well as one of the largest elementary special education programs. As a Title I school, we are committed to providing all students and families with the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive academically and socially. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of educational equity and be experienced in using data-driven practices to close achievement gaps and support student growth. We are looking for a principal who fosters an inclusive school culture, empowers educators, and actively engages families and the broader community. Strong communication skills, a collaborative leadership style, and a focus on building meaningful relationships are key. Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred to support our multilingual community and enhance school-home communication.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Administrative Services credential or Certificate of Eligibility. Applicants with out-of-state credentials will be considered but must meet California certification requirements before start date. Applicants enrolled in an administrative credential program will only be considered if qualified for a certificate of eligibility prior to start date.
