Requirements / Qualifications

Must possess a valid California Teaching credential authorizing specialist service in the area of assignment; classroom teaching experience; good counseling and behavioral management skills; ability to work well with other professionals in the interdisciplinary team; knowledge of all procedures pertaining to the development of Individualized Educational Programs for students with learning disabilities; knowledge of the rules and regulations that pertain to special education students; skills in developing individual goals and objectives for students based on diagnostic teaching; ability to individualize instruction within the classroom using a variety of teaching materials; ability to apply appropriate techniques and methods in order to assist students with special learning conditions; ability to utilize computer-assisted instruction to facilitate learning desirable; communicate with students, other teachers, staff members, and parents concerning the needs and feelings of students in a positive manner; ability to maintain effective relationships with students, other staff members, and parents.

Comments and Other Information

Summer School rate of pay will be based on a .7 per diem rate at the appropriate Step of Column C (BA +30) on the current teachers' salary schedule. Teachers not represented by CTAB bargaining unit will be placed on Step 1 of the salary schedule @.7 of column C. June 23, 2025 - July 18, 2025 Monday - Friday Professional Development Day – June 20, 2025 No school on Friday, July 4, 2025
