Northern United Charter Schools is looking for a school Psychologist to support the success of students academically, socially, behaviorally and emotionally by collaborating with teachers, parents and other professionals to create safe, healthy and supportive learning environments. JOB TITLE: School Psychologist REPORTS TO: Director of the Charter or Designee JOB SUMMARY: The School Psychologist will support the success of students academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally by collaborating with teachers, parents and other professionals to create safe, healthy and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school and the community for all students. The School Psychologist will identify and assess the learning development, and adjustment characteristics and needs of individuals and groups, as well as, the environmental factors that affect learning and adjustment and provide interventions to students to support the teaching process and to maximize learning. The School Psychologist will assist in the planning, development and evaluation of programs to meet identified learning and adjustment needs to deliver a planned and coordinated program of psychological services. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Pupil Personnel Services Credential Master’s degree preferred Prior experience in public schools Valid California Driver’s License KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES OF: Ability to understand procedures and functions in a school system with regard to special education and the overall education of the student.
