Job Summary
Under the direction of an administrator, provide specialized assistance in the County health services program for developmentally delayed students; participate in the assessment and placement of special education students; monitor and train staff in specialized health care procedures and provide health services to students.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health education or closely related field, and two years’ experience with severely, communicatively, or physically handicapped individuals including some experience working in a special education environment. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Current valid California State Registered Nurse License; California School Nurse Services Credential; current BLS Healthcare Provider Level CPR Training; valid California driver’s license; Basic Life Support Instructor Status desirable.
