Must have a valid Education Specialist Teaching Credential. Appropriately credentialed teachers first assigned to a transitional kindergarten classroom after July 1, 2015 must have one of the following: At least 24 units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or both; One year of professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children, as noted in Twain Harte Board Resolution 2024-2025-04-01; or a Child Development Teacher Permit, or an early childhood education specialist credential, issued from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
