Start date:07/01/2025 REQUIRED: CPR and First Aid Certifications *SRCS only accepts American Red Cross, American Heart Association or National Safety Council. (NO ONLINE Certifications accepted.) Concussion Certification Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certification Heat Illness Prevention Certification Negative TB Test Mandated Reporter- School Personnel Course 2 Letters of recommendation Desired: 1. Coach and instruct students in a sport, instruct students in the proper use of equipment and rules of the specific sport 2. Supervise students in the locker room, during practices, during athletic competitions and on buses to and from athletic competitions 3. Maintain student discipline, including prevention of hazing, harassment and discrimination 4. Apply the principles of “Pursuing Victory With Honor” as adopted by the Board of Education and endorsed by the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) 5. Maintain proper inventory and care of equipment and facilities 6. Assess student performance and make coaching decisions without regard to outside teen/youth affiliations. 7. USA Cheer/NFHS Cheer Safety Certification: This is a highly recommended certification, especially for coaches of sideline cheer.
