Founded in 1971, Coastal Christian School (CCS) is a dual accredited school through ACSI and WASC. We have a current enrollment of just over 300 students. Our mission is to partner with parents in preparing students to serve God in all of life, providing excellence in the spiritual, academic, social, and physical aspects of education. As a Christian school, CCS is looking for school leaders who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, are active in their Christian community, and desire to teach their academic content through a Biblical lens. CCS is located in beautiful Pismo Beach, CA.
Job Summary
Job Summary
The Head of School reports to the CCS Board of Directors and serves as the leader of the school, responsible for its daily operation and carrying out the board-established mission and vision. The Head of School is responsible for collaborating, monitoring and reporting on the financial health, academic standards, and community relationships of the school, providing leadership to faculty and working with the Administrative Team to direct and oversee the operations of the school.

Qualifications: •A Doctorate or Master’s degree in educational leadership or related field •Experience which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to a least five years experience in managing complex organizations •Exceptional administrative, management, and leadership skills. •Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with all stakeholders, including administration, faculty, staff, parents, students and program facilitators •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •An educational philosophy consistent with the mission of the school •Current administrative certification by ACSI or state educational credentialing body •Knowledge of Scripture and its application to all of life, particularly education •Understanding of and appreciation for student discipleship and the developmental needs of students •Ability to work well with colleagues in all areas of education including planning, assessment, and collaborationA demonstrated commitment to life-long learning •Experience in the use of technology for instruction. Must be digitally literate and have a passion to engage, empower, prepare and educate students for the 21st century, anticipating technological progress and its use in the classroom and in life •Ability to exercise discretion and utmost professionalism in confidential and student/family matters •Personal active faith in Jesus Christ, a commitment to the mission of Coastal Christian School, and agreement with each statement of the CCS Statement of Faith
