Job Summary
Central Union High School District is searching for an experienced and talented Information Technology Officer. The individual selected will be responsible for guiding and supporting the IT team by organizing resources, inspiring employees, and maximizing output. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the technology they will be managing, strong communication skills, a strategic mindset, and will be a team player. Examples of Duties: Under general direction, provides leadership, strategic planning, and expert oversight for the development and implementation of the information and educational technology services vision and policy for the District. Plans, organizes, and directs the delivery of services to troubleshoot and enhance large complex network systems, local areas networks, servers, telecommunications, and related equipment, hardware, software, and applications; creates solutions, evaluates and modifies network systems and assures proper security, operations, and data integrity of network systems; facilitates technology and integration in support district-wide instructional and business needs; supervises, evaluates and trains assigned staff; performs other related work as directed.
Requirements / Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES: • Any combination of training, education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in networking, information technology, computer science or related field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience working with complex systems, servers, and networks; including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity • Valid Class C California Driver’s License and acceptable driving record • Criminal justice fingerprint clearance • Pre-employment health exam DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • G-Suite Administrator Certification • Comp TIA A+ Certification • Network Fundamental Certification • Previous experience in school setting SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to travel between school sites and be available for on-call, and emergency call services seven days a week, twenty-four hours per day.
