Job Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Business Officer, the Director of Facilities, Maintenance and Operations will plan, organize, direct, schedule, and participate in the facilities, maintenance and operations of Emery Unified School District including custodial, grounds keeping, shipping and receiving, recycling and other green programs, and general facilities and maintenance and operations of the District; including budget development and management. The Director of Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations will work with the City of Emeryville and other agencies in the co-habitation of the co-located City of Emeryville and Emery Unified School District facility, the Emeryville City of Community Life (ECCL). The Director of Facilities, Maintenance and Operations will supervise, evaluate, instruct and schedule custodial/grounds personnel. Work will be performed indoors and outdoors. As Director of Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations, you will be the driving force behind ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our school community, while also fostering a culture of collaboration and pride in our physical spaces.
