Job Summary
Liberty Elementary School, a dynamic TK–8 learning community, is seeking a caring, skilled, and student-centered School Social Worker to support student well-being, social-emotional growth, and family engagement. This position is designed to enhance students’ success by addressing barriers to learning, providing counseling and case management, and collaborating with staff and families. The ideal candidate meets the education and experience requirements outlined by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and demonstrates a passion for supporting diverse students in a school setting. A Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in School Social Work is preferred but not required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field from an accredited program Education and experience sufficient to meet the requirements set by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) for: Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT or AMFT) Note: PPS Credential in School Social Work is preferred but not required Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience working with children or youth in school or community settings • Familiarity with MTSS, PBIS, restorative practices, and trauma-informed approaches The following documents must be scanned and attached to the application prior to submission on-line: Letter of Introduction Resume Three Signed Letters of Recommendation Copy of Masters Degree Copy of Certification and/or Licensure (as applicable)
