Job Summary

The successful candidate will work with the outgoing position holder. Under the direction of the Chief Business Official, the Fiscal Services Technician II performs the district and charter school(s) processing of assigned financial or budgetary records/reports in areas including accounts payable, receivable, and purchasing, projects income and expenditures, and monitors encumbrances. Performs clerical and bookkeeping duties, including paying vendors, billing, or reviewing claims; maintenance of payroll and benefits; performs related work as required. Positions in this class are normally assigned moderately repetitive tasks such as posting, billing, computing or re-computing, and checking for math or coding errors. Work is controlled by established procedures through supervised routine practices. The choice of methods or procedures to be used in the performance of duties is limited to well-prescribed business practices. Completes the attendance reporting for the district and charter school(s). Incumbents are expected to solve routine clerical or accounting problems without assistance, but non-routine or unique problems are typically referred to a supervisor for instructions.

• Minimum of 2 years of college work or an AA degree with business and/or bookkeeping emphasis or equivalent business/bookkeeping training in a public environment • Minimum 3-5 years experience in public school business/financial reporting and/or accounting Provision of TB clearance Must maintain current CPR/First Aid Certification Any offer of employment is subject to a criminal background check.
