The Academy of the Arts is looking for a well organized, dynamic, creative, credentialed 4th grade teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Our ideal candidate has a love for teaching across the subject areas and challenging students to meet their potential while addressing each student’s questions, goals and potential. We are a community of warm and caring people and we are looking for a professional , passionate collaborative and joyful teacher. We are looking for a 4th grade teacher who will provide excellent educational programming in progressive and constructivist pedagogies with a particular strength in math, science and writing along with a passion for inquiry and zest for continuous learning. The teacher should be enthusiastic and skilled in educational pedagogy.

Requirements / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will: -> Create a culture of active inquiry, collaboration, rigor and responsive learning opportunities with each student and their teaching peers. -> Ensure and maintain the highest level of academic and social emotional expectations. -> Reach and surpass CCSS in each weekly lesson plan. -> Build strong units of study incorporating the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals weekly. -> Build and nurture active and continuous partnerships with parents creating a synergy of positivity  and flourishing communication. -> Positions self as a continuous learner who is flexible, curious, innovative and eager to build a strong class community. -> Loves growing as a teacher and is open to weekly action research coaching. -> Is strong in math and science, and familiar with Erueka Math and National Geographic Science or willing to explore and engage. -> Eager to be coached and work with national Writing Mentor weekly and work alongside writers modeling the process. -> Leads by example modeling democracy in active inquiry, socratic questioning, progressive pedagogies and building strong community connections. Credential Requirements: -> Multiple Subject Teaching Credential - General Subjects Required Documents: -> Copy of Transcript -> Credential Copy (Will be required if hired.) -> Letter of Introduction (Cover Letter) -> Letter(s) of Recommendation (Minimum Two (2) Letters of Recommendation) -> Letter(s) of Reference (Minimum Two (2) Letters of Reference) -> Other (Copy of Bachelors Degree (or above)) -> Resume
