Job Summary
The teacher respects Catholic values and aids students in Christian formation by exemplifying Catholic living, both in and out of the classroom. The teacher conducts himself in a professional manner at all times exhibited by his/her behavior, speech, and dress. The teacher is accountable to the principal and expected to provide education to the grades and/or subjects assigned, to implement the school mission and philosophy, to follow the policies of the Diocese of Santa Rosa, those of the St. Vincent Elementary staff and parent supplemental handbooks, and adhere to the directives set by school administration. Teacher is required to plan and teach an academically rigorous curriculum aligned with state, diocesan, and federal standards with appropriate pedagogy, meeting the needs of all students and using assessments to guide their instruction. The teacher has solid classroom management protocol and techniques to ensure students are learning. The teacher can communicate effectively and consistently with parents. Title: Catholic School Classroom Teacher Reporting to: Principal Status: Exempt, Teaching Contract Hours/Schedule: Full-Time Supervisory Duties: none Full Benefit Eligibility: Eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, employer paid Life and AD&D insurance, voluntary employee paid additional life and AD&D insurance with no medical exam, paid sick leave, 403b, 401a 5.5% employer defined contribution after 12 months of eligible service, paid bereavement leave, etc.
