Welcome to the Santa Maria-Bonita School District website. We are the largest school district in Santa Barbara County with about 17,500 pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade students. Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION Under the direction of the Assigned Supervisor in Educational Services, the Program Specialist of Academic Support provides leadership, coordination, and support for office operations and activities in support of academic programs, intervention services, and related professional development across the district with a focus on Tier I and Tier II instructional support. This position collaborates with educators to improve student achievement, supports data-informed decision-making to enhance student learning outcomes, and ensures the effective implementation of initial academic instruction and intervention programs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education/Credential: Valid California Teaching Credential Administrative Services Credential and/or Certificate of Eligibility Experience: Minimum of five years of teaching experience. Prior experience in instructional coaching, curriculum development, or educational leadership is highly desirable. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver’s license
