Job Summary
Under the direction of the Principal, perform a variety of technical and complex record-keeping duties in the preparation, updating and maintenance of scholastic records for high school students; utilize an assigned computer system to input and update data, maintain automated records and generate computerized reports; enroll new students and evaluate transcripts to determine allowable credits and place students in appropriate classes. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: The Registrar's primary responsibility involves the preparation, updating and maintenance of scholastic records for high school students. Incumbents enroll and register students. The Student Data Technician is primarily responsible for performing a variety of computer operations involved in inputting and updating master schedule, student and a variety of other data and information. This is an open recruitment to establish an eligibility list to fill the current vacant position. The eligibility list will be used to fill any vacancies which may occur within a period of one year, or until depleted. Vacancies in this classification work 8 hours per day, 7:30 am - 4pm, 238 days per school year.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years increasingly responsible experience involving student record-keeping and enrollment functions in a secondary education setting.
