Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director - Child Welfare & Attendance and the principal (or designee), maintains a safe and secure environment by protecting students, personnel, grounds, buildings, and equipment, on campus and at nearby off-campus properties during day and/or evening shifts; assists in preventing disturbances or property damage; respond to fire and intrusion alarms and calls for service at district sites.
Requirements / Qualifications
A completed online application with uploaded resume, 2 current letters of recommendation, valid CPR First Aide Certificate, and SB 1626 Certificate, are required of all applicants to be considered. Please also attach your POST PC 832 Arrest, Search, and Seizure course certificate if already obtained. Once you have submitted your application, please check your email (including your Spam folder) for updates. Applications will be carefully reviewed. Those applicants with the most appropriate education, experience, and training will be scheduled to continue in the testing process. All applicants will be notified by email regarding their selection status. The two testing components of this position include a written, multiple choice test as well as a physical agility test. The details for the agility test are as follows: PART ONE The candidate must successfully complete 10 push-ups. This part of the test is untimed. PART TWO The candidate must successfully drag a 90-pound body dummy a distance of 10 yards. This part of the test is untimed. PART THREE The candidate must successfully traverse a 50-yard zig-zag course with obstacles and climb over a 4-foot chain link fence. This part of the test must be completed in 2 minutes. PART FOUR The candidate must complete a half-mile run. This part of the test must be completed in 6 minutes.
