Daily and long-term Certificated substitutes needed TK-12 and in Special Education.
Requirements / Qualifications
As of January 1, 2025, per Ed Code 44939.5 (*AB 2534), applicants for certificated positions MUST disclose a complete list of all past and current PUBLIC EDUCATION employment (full-time, part-time, and substitute). Failure to do so may result in disqualification, or removal of your application. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Candidates who complete the application in full will be contacted to discuss next steps. APPLICATIONS THAT ARE 'INCOMPLETE' OR 'MISSING ATTACHMENTS' WILL BE SCREENED OUT. Completion: Fill out all sections, especially "Work Experience" (resumes won't substitute). REQUIRED: 1. MUST provide a copy of your current California Teaching Credential, with teaching experience. (Direct all Credentialing questions to the San Diego County of Ed or the CTC directly.) 2. Resume (including recent teaching experience & classroom management) 3. Two 'SIGNED' Letters of Recommendation pertaining to your 'teaching background' and 'classroom experience', (preferable within the last 12-24 months). Each LOR must include the person's contact information as well. (Do NOT submit 'unsigned' LOR's, as they will NOT be accepted.) 4. MUST have Fingerprints on file already for 'employment' purposes', (not just for a certificate of clearance), through the San Diego County Office of Education's 'Fingerprint Clearinghouse' database. Attach only the first 3 required documents to your EdJoin application for consideration. Do not include any extras.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATIONS TO BE COLLECTED AT A LATER DATE: >Current TB Test must be available, no older than 4 years (Risk assessments are not accepted for first-time applicants). >JPA Trainings in Mandated Reporter and Sexual Harassment are required through CUSD or with valid proof from another district. ___________________________________________ *No 30-day substitute permits are being accepted at this time. **Candidates with the most relevant education and experience will be contacted to proceed. Should you not be selected to proceed, you will receive an email notification. ***Substitute Teachers must work at least one assignment every 90 days to stay active.
