Dean of Students – Grades 9-12 Description: The Dean of Students will work under the supervision of the Assistant Principal/Student Services. The Dean of Students is responsible for the enforcement of student discipline and attendance at our high schools and assist the Assistant Principal/Student Services with the overall management of campus security. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for discipline and attendance of students, counsels with pupils and parents of pupils, investigates incidents involving district rules violations, and administers school, district and state policy accordingly. Investigates attendance problems and initiates truancy action or other corrective procedures as appropriate, administers detention, work detail, and all related disciplinary actions in collaboration with the Assistant Principal/Student Services/Activities. Assists with supervision at athletic events and other extra curricular and co-curricular activities including evening assignments. Performs other administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications: Administrative or Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Salary: Same per diem rate as Assistant Principal. 1/9/96 Mileage allowance approved by Board (same as provided to Assistant Principals). 9/95
