Job Description, Major Duties & Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Assistant Principal of Operations and Athletics, the Athletic Director shall be responsible for: Program Management - Lead, implement and evaluate the athletic program - Ensure compliance with state laws, CIF regulations, and school policies -Manage transportation for athletic contests -Chair coaches meetings to ensure knowledge of systems, rules, requirements, etc. -Attend weekly administration team meetings Scheduling and Facilities -Schedule athletic contests between Arcadia High School and competing schools -Allocate contest and practice facilities equitably -Coordinate with City of Arcadia on shared facilities -Schedule summer camps Personnel and Officials -Arrange officials for contests and handle related paperwork/payment - Support Assistant Principal with coaching staff management Financial Management -Oversee athletic and transportation budgets - Maintain communication with coaches regarding budgets - Procure necessary equipment and supplies Communication -Work with athletic secretary on CIF reporting - Attend and report at Booster and PTSA meetings - Serve as liaison between athletic program and booster groups - Maintain communication with parents, students, staff, community as needed - Maintain and update Athletic Department website and calendar Event Supervision - Supervise home and away athletic contests - Participate in key school events - Support administration with school-wide event supervision Additional duties may be assigned and responsibilities may change to meet the evolving needs of the position.
