Job Summary
The Senior Program Director, Coordinated School Health provides strategic leadership, consultation, and direction for the implementation and development in integrating and coordinating countywide health, safety, and emergency preparedness initiatives. This role ensures that all students—especially the most vulnerable—have equitable access to safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments. Working collaboratively with school districts, community agencies, and public health partners, the Senior Program Director develops and implements policies, training, and crisis response strategies that prioritize student well-being. Key responsibilities include overseeing school health initiatives, safety programs, and emergency preparedness planning that address both physical and mental health needs. Requirements / Qualifications
Education & Experience: School Nurse Services Credential (required) Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field (required) Current Registered Nurse (RN) License (required) Public Health Nurse Certificate (preferred) Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience as a School Nurse (required) Two (2) years of supervisory experience (preferred) Valid California Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record Read Job Description for a complete list of job requirements and experience required
