Job Summary
The person in this position works under general supervision, to perform clerical accounting duties requiring advanced training and experience. Primary responsibilities are: • Prepare and maintain clear and accurate statements, records, reports and accounting data and other pertinent information relating to the payroll and purchasing departments; • Operate various types of equipment, such as calculators and a computer terminal; • Make mathematical computations quickly and accurately; • Establish and main effective relationships with persons contacted in the course of work; • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE OF: - Basic bookkeeping and accounting practices, clerical and office procedures and methods, business mathematics and record keeping. - Skill at entering alpha-numeric data onto a preformatted data entry screen. Sufficient math skill to calculate totals, percentages, rations, and portions. ABILITY TO: - Enter data onto standardized formats using computerized data base programs by using keyboards, basic keyboarding or 10-key skills and calculators. - Perform basic arithmetic operations. - Post numeric data into proper account classifications.

The written test will be given on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23 at 9:00AM OR 2:00PM (picture ID required). Late arrivals will not be admitted for testing. No cell phones. Current employees working in a different job classification and desiring to make application for a vacant position should complete and submit an Application for Classified Employment to the Personnel Office prior to the posted deadline. An employee requesting to transfer from one work site to another work site in the same job classification, must complete and submit a classified Request for Transfer to the Personnel Office prior to the deadline. Outside applicants will also be considered.
