Job Summary

Come and join us for Rescue Union School District's Extended School Year Summer School Program as a Special Education Instructional Assistant! This role will provide instructional support and assistance to teachers and students in our ESY Summer program at Lake Forest Elementary School! The successful candidate will implement specialized curriculum, modifications, accommodations, and behavior management strategies under the guidance of the teacher. Prior experience working with school-age children and a CPR certificate would be desired but not required. These scheduled work days are from June 2, 2025, through June 27, 2025. This includes 19 working days + 1 paid holiday for a total of 20 paid days. Please note there will be no school on 6/19/2025 in observance of Juneteenth.

Requirements / Qualifications

Candidates interested in this position must meet ESSA standards and provide proof of the following: 1. A high school diploma or the equivalent, AND a. Two years of college (48 units), OR b. A. A. degree (or higher), OR c. Pass a local (County Office of Education) assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction. The pre-employment requirements for this position include an FBI/DOJ clearance and TB assessment clearance.
