Are you an organized, tech-savvy problem solver who enjoys helping others? The Nevada County Superintendent of Schools is looking for a proactive IT Technician to be the first point of contact for IT support across our schools and districts. In this role, you'll handle device troubleshooting, password resets, MFA, work orders, and coordinate with vendors for IT procurement. You’ll also maintain IT documentation, assist with inventory, and oversee phone system administration. Your contributions will help streamline IT operations, reduce disruptions for the team, and ensure smooth day-to-day technology support for staff and educators. Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience A combination of training and experience, which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities, may be qualifying. We reserve the right to determine if a candidate meets the qualifications. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: • High school graduation or equivalent • One year of coursework in information technology with an emphasis on networking and telecommunication or 2 years of equivalent work experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: These requirements must be met prior to beginning employment and will be requested upon job offer acceptance Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States Two Letters of Recommendation Must possess a valid California Driver’s License Must provide proof of automobile insurance coverage Fingerprint and Background clearance Valid tuberculosis (TB) clearance Valid COVID-19 vaccination record (if required for position)
