POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District is seeking to create a list of qualified individuals for current, anticipated and possible full-time positions in our Educational Services and Business Services Divisions to perform a variety of secretarial and clerical work related to the special operational area to which assigned. These career opportunities are generally 8-hour/day, 12 month/year positions with paid holidays, sick leave, vacation, and a comprehensive benefits package of health, dental, vision and life insurance. The current vacancy is in our Maintenance & Operations Department. The anticipated working hours for these positions will be Monday-Friday between 7:30am-4:30pm. The eligibility list established as a result of the recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies during the life of the list. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the applicant is likely to possess the required knowledge, skill and ability to perform the job duties: Education: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by course work in clerical and secretarial practices. Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible clerical experience. Computer experience is required including use of word processors, spreadsheets and database management programs. Other: Some positions require candidates to be bilingual or bilingual biliterate Spanish. Additional 1.5% (bilingual) or 2.5% (bilingual biliterate) stipends are given to qualified candidates if hired in positions requiring these skills.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES This is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. Recruitment examinations may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test, performance test and/or structured oral interview. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be twelve (12) months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future vacancies. Date of Examination The date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email of the time, date and place of the examination(s).
