Job Summary
The Program Specialist, Support Systems is responsible to the County Superintendent and works under the direct supervision of the Director of Continuous Improvement & Support. Program Specialist, Support Systems provides leadership and guidance to schools and districts in the areas of inclusive academic, social-emotional, and behavioral instruction for all students within the CAMTSS framework. The Program Specialist serves as a resource and provides a high level of coaching, facilitation, professional development and technical assistance to P-12 schools, districts and early learning programs about: * Systemic implementation of evidence-based, culturally sustaining practices and frameworks for social-emotional and behavior instruction (ie. Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports) leading to caring school communities, positive climates and inclusive cultures. * Integrating mental and behavioral health services in schools using the Interconnected Systems Framework (ISF). * State Standards, assessment, and evidence-based, culturally sustaining, inclusive instructional practices and frameworks like Universal Design for Learning (UDL). * Use of data and teaming and the continuous improvement process to improve outcomes and work toward equity.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required * Valid California Teaching Credential, or Valid California PPS Credential Desired * Valid California Administrative Services Credential or Certificate of Eligibility * Board Certified Behavior Analyst Specific experience and/or training: Required * Five or more years’ experience working in a school or district with increased leadership responsibilities
