Shifts Available: 8 am to 4:30 am, 8 am to 1 pm, and 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm DESCRIPTION A Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for creating a fun, engaging, and educational experience for campers while ensuring their safety and well-being. They lead a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, outdoor adventures, science experiments, and team-building exercises. Summer Camp Teachers foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages personal growth, creativity, and social interaction among campers. SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS • Planning and leading structured activities and lessons. • Supervising and ensuring the safety of campers at all times. • Encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, and positive behavior. • Assisting with camp logistics, including setup, cleanup, and meal times. • Providing guidance and support to campers with different needs and interests. • Communicating effectively with fellow staff and parents. QUALIFICATIONS • Experience working with children and/or youth; • Dedicated to serving the Lord wholeheartedly in their role; • Ability to engage intentionally with students and adults; • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively; • Takes initiative; • Good physical health and mobility; • Ability to move swiftly to assist other staff and students as situation dictates; • Ability to function well in varying weather conditions(i.e. low temps to high temps including inclement weather); • Able to be on feet for entire shift; • Prompt and reliable in attendance; • Able to lift up to 20 lbs if need be; • Willing to submit to background check.
