PRIMARY ROLE: We seek a candidate who can implement a comprehensive counseling program to meet the needs of their assigned students. Counselors in the department assess needs and design solutions to remove barriers to students’ success. Counselors consult with teachers and families to enhance effectiveness in helping students. We seek a candidate who will incorporate Ignatian ideals and philosophy in counseling methods. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage a caseload of approximately 250 students in 9th-12th grades Meet both individually and in small groups with assigned students to support students with social, emotional, and academic issues Conduct risk assessments for students in emotional crisis and collaborate with Wellness team Partner with faculty and families to identify areas of need and collaborate on solutions for student support Monitor and track academic performance and interventions for caseload and document specifics in PowerSchool Meet weekly with students who are in the Academic Recovery Program and collaborate with with Center for Academic and Target Support (CATS) st
