YPICS is committed to recruiting, developing and retaining excellent teachers. We invite passionate educators to apply for the position of Certificated Teacher (Multiple Subjects, Multiple Subjects with Supplemental Authorization, or Single Subject). Teaching at YPICS is an ideal position for an educator with a deep passion for instruction who is eager to receive consistent high-impact coaching and feedback from the school administrator to help perfect their craft. In addition, teachers participate in weekly school site-based professional development and co-planning meetings. In YPICS, the teacher is entrusted with ensuring all students learn the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), California Content Standards, and meet the school-wide outcomes at each grade level established in the approved charter petition. Responsibilities include: Establishing positive classroom culture and climate which supports student character development Creates a positive, achievement-oriented and structured learning environment that excites and inspires students to behavioral and academic excellence. Builds classroom community by forging relationships with students and families that support development of core values such as excellence, respect, enthusiasm, achievement, Citizen-Scholar, life-long learning, and resilience.
