Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Completion of a course of study in vocational nursing and at least one year of vocational nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Licenses, Certificates and Other Requirements: - A current Vocational Nurse certification and license to practice in the State of California. - A valid California driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s vehicle insurance program may be required in some assignments. - Valid First Aid and Basic Life Support certificates are required.
