QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE •Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and four years of increasingly responsible supervisory or lead experience in the school bus industry. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS •Maintain a current/valid California Class B commercial driver’s license with passenger and air brake endorsements; •Maintain a current/valid California School Bus Driver Instructor Certificate, or CDE Transportation Administration Certificate; •Must be able to acquire a School Bus Driver Instructor certificate issued by the State of California Department of Education within one year of employment; •Post-employment random drug screen testing, as currently required under DOT regulations, to maintain California Commercial Driver’s License through the District’s provider at the District’s expense; •Maintain a satisfactory driving record; •Maintain current/valid First Aid Certification. OVERVIEW: Under the direction of the Manager of Enrollment Services/Student Transportation and the Manager of Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation, the Transportation Supervisor will organize and direct District bus and related transportation operations, inspections and activities to ensure safe and timely transportation of students to and from school, field trips and special events; develop and maintain bus routes and schedules; train and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
