Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the site principal, the Response to Intervention Specialist will coordinate and schedule English language arts and mathematics interventions for students; communicate which interventions are needed and used for direct instruction; work collaboratively with teachers and paraprofessionals; train staff on the use of research-based interventions; model lessons for teachers; serve as a coach; and monitor student progress. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Develop and implement an intervention structure/schedule. 2. Develop and implement a schedule to meet daily state requirements for English Language Learners. Support teachers with their use of ELD strategies within the classroom. 3. Facilitate the use of district assessments and universal screening to determine interventions. 4. Analyze test/assessment results and work with staff to create ways to raise student achievement. 5. Model lessons to demonstrate specific strategies, lesson delivery, and maintain instructional fidelity of research-based interventions. 6. Keep accurate data collection records on students receiving intervention. 7. Work with grade-level teams to insure student success. 8. Follow through with interventions to improve student progress. 8. Provide ongoing staff development/training for instructional assistants. 9. Creating a comprehensive schedule for time in intervention programs. 10. Working with students during intervention time on targeted instruction based on data. 11.
