Job Summary

GOAL: Under the direction of the Director of Behavioral Health, the Student and Family Wellness Coach operates as part of the care team and provides prevention and early intervention services that support the behavioral health and well-being of GFUSD students. The Student and Family Wellness Coach will promote wellness education at the assigned school site, promote mental health literacy, support students with universal behavioral screenings, promote and provide parent and community engagement work related to mental health services, support individuals or groups of students with social and emotional skills, and assist with care coordination and access to crisis support when necessary.

Requirements / Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS: *BA/BS degree or higher in one of the following fields (social work, health, and human services, addiction studies, child development/early intervention, psychology, or sociology). * Certified Wellness Coach II or Registered-Certified Wellness Coach II certification through the California * Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI). https://cawellnesscoach.org/#cwc-requirements * Valid California Driver’s License * Minimum one-year prior experience working in an educational setting or other youth-oriented program desired. * Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred * DOJ Live-scan is required prior to employment * TB test required prior to employment
