The WRTP Case Manager: Program Assessment Specialist plays a crucial role in the Workforce Recovery Training Program (WRTP), a county-wide workforce development initiative aimed at training unemployed and underemployed individuals for careers in disaster response-related fields. This position is responsible for assessing the skills, aptitudes, and needs of program applicants to determine their individual training and service needs. The Assessment Specialist will conduct aptitude and interest surveys, refer participants to appropriate training resources, and support the overall program in meeting its goals in alignment with the Standard Agreement with the State of California and the Partnership Agreement with the City of Redding. Additionally, this role will collaborate with program staff and managers to improve program development and ensure successful participant outcomes.
