Job Summary

Job Summary

The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting to fill two vacancies for Account Clerk III within the Business Services division. Under general supervision, the Account Clerk III performs complex clerical accounting work involved in the maintenance, review and processing of accounting, financial or statistical records, reports and accounts; provides work direction and guidance to support staff of an assigned work unit. ID 2838 - District Financial Services (anticipated start date: 06/01/2025) ID 2843 - Internal Business (anticipated start date: 07/01/2025) This recruitment is open to both current employees and the general public. Two separate eligibility lists will be created—one for current permanent employees and one for all other applicants.

Requirements / Qualifications

This position requires a combination of training and experience which would clearly demonstrate possession of the knowledge and abilities stated in the job description. A typical qualifying background would include: four years of experience in financial, statistical or fiscal record keeping work. Targeted job related education that meets the prerequisite requirements. One year (24 semester/36 quarter hours of coursework) of approved college level accounting or business training, including principles of accounting may be substituted for one year of the required experience.

To be considered for this position, you must individually attach the following items to your completed EDJOIN Application: • Resume, detailing education and experience as it relates to this position • Letter of Introduction • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation dated within the last year • Copies of transcripts you wish to be considered • Copies of any certifications you wish to be considered The results of this recruitment will be used to establish an eligibility list to fill the current vacancy and any other vacancies in this classification for the next six (6) months, or until the list is exhausted.
