Natomas Unified School District is seeking an Executive Director to lead our Nutrition Services and Warehousing department. As an Executive Director overseeing Nutrition Services and Warehousing, this position will lead a wide variety of work serving a diverse K-12 school community. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: •Oversee and monitor site operations for the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program, Child and Adult Care Food Program At-Risk Supper and Snack Program, and Summer Feeding Program, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. •Develop, implement, and evaluate food service policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. •Train, assign, supervise, and formally evaluate nutrition service personnel, addressing disciplinary matters and grievances under district policies. •Conduct professional development sessions for staff. •Ensure proper storage, preparation, distribution, and service of food in compliance with health and safety regulations. •Assist in the collection of meal applications and Electronic Benefit Forms to support the district's Unduplicated Pupil Percentages. •Advance the Speed Scratch and Farm to School initiatives. •Lead the district-wide Health and Wellness Committee. •Provide catering services for district-related events and celebrations. •Support asset management and compliance with federal and state guidelines for textbook inventory. •Oversee textbook distribution, furniture management, and mail services for the district and charter schools. •Oversee warehouse operations, including intake, inventory, and distribution of supplies
Requirements / Qualifications
Education And Experience: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities could qualify someone for this position. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: •A bachelor's degree in dietetics, food and nutrition, hotel and restaurant management, business or public administration, or a related field is required. •Up to two years of the required education may be substituted with an additional two years of full-time supervisory experience. •Candidates must have at least five years of full-time experience in nutrition services, including a minimum of two years in an administrative or supervisory role within school nutrition services, hospital food service, or another institutional nutrition service program. •Experience in overseeing asset management, distribution of textbooks, school equipment, records,and mail services. •A valid California Driver’s License.
