Job Summary The Gold Rush Charter School Board of Trustees is seeking a Director/Principal for the 2025-26 school year. The Charter serves approximately 475 students, 48 employees and two unique educational offerings (classroom and homeschool/independent study). Our school is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable educator who has human resources experience in education, personnel experience, as well as a curriculum leader to lead the Charter. The Director will serve alongside the Gold Rush Charter School Board and an experienced administrative team. The new Director will be expected to provide collaborative guidance and leadership as they provide support to the students, staff and families in all facets of a charter school. The candidate will be addressing challenges related to COVID-19, current charter school legislation and work collegially with the sponsoring district, Summerville Union High School District. Additional information Gold Rush Charter School has consistently served both classroom-based and non-classroom based instruction in an all-charter school for over 20 years. Location: Gold Rush Charter School is located in Sonora, California, in Tuolumne County. Total Enrollment: 470 students K-12 Salary: $136,000-$144,332 depending on experience and qualifications Work Days: 225 Charter will make matching contributions to STRS or PERS retirement system Generous Health/Welfare Cap ACSA Dues ACSA Human Resources Academy Multi-Year contract will be considered Opening Date for Application: March 21, 2025 Closing Date for Application: April 4, 2025
Requirements / Qualifications
Proven experience in district-level management, charter school experience preferred. Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in any grade K-12. Strong background in Human Resources related to Education. Possession of California Administrative Services Credential/Masters Degree.
